Hey man, could you add two more sub categories to "Creatures" we need "Pet Creatures" and "Background Creatures" Thanks! Also, should I start sending you guys images and descriptions for each creature, region and item? If so, what image res would work best? Thanks!

It's best to upload that stuff yourself. For images, just use the "upload image" link under tools. As for resolution, higher res is always best, you can always scale things down. To scale down an image, just use the following syntax: [[File:filename.jpg|250px]] where the size can be any size in pixels (250px is just an example, and it specifies width, for height, use x250px and for both, as maximum limits, use x250x250px) and of course the file can be any of the usual formats, not just ".jpg" (i personally prefer ".png" with transparent backgrounds) — Game widow (talk) 23:36, 1 June 2015 (UTC)

I can upload, but I don't know how to add creatures, regions, and items to their categories. How would I go about doing that? For example at http://adventuresoftree.gamepedia.com/Hostile_Creatures It is empty, how would I "add" a new creature to "Hostile Creatures"

To create a new page, you can just search for the creature name in the search bar on the top right, then click on the red link in the search results. While still in edit mode, at the bottom of a page, to add it to a category, just add [[Category:Hostile Creatures]] to add it to that category. You can also add pages to multiple categories if it makes sense, just list them one under the other at the bottom of the page, using that format i described. — Game widow (talk) 12:19, 2 June 2015 (UTC)

I think I see what you're saying. I'll try to create some pages. Thanks for the help! Could you help me with one more thing? I'd like for the creature stats to be shown in a box on the side just like they are here http://terraria.gamepedia.com/Green_Slime I'm not sure how to do that, could you add something like that to the page I created "Spidy" that way I can copy and page it for the other creatures. Also, I added my creature to the "Hostile Creatures" category but he's not showing up?

Thanks for all the help so far!

That's called an infobox and i can make you one. What fields would you want it to have ? Also, Spidy does appear in the Hostile Creatures category: see Category:Hostile_Creatures, he will not automatically appear on the page also named "Hostile Creatures". Pages (or articles) are different from categories. — Game widow (talk) 19:03, 2 June 2015 (UTC)

In the info box I'd like to have All the stats listed on my "Spidy Page" which are "Health" "Defence" "Attack Damage" "Attack Range" also, why did the spidy get added to some random place? I wanted to add him here. http://adventuresoftree.gamepedia.com/Hostile_Creatures But he somehow ended up here http://adventuresoftree.gamepedia.com/Category:Hostile_Creatures the main page link that leads to "Hostile Creatures" will not show the spidy?

Ordinary pages, like the Spidy page you made, are placed into categories. You can tell if you are on a category page because the title says "Category:" at the beginning. What you had before were ordinary pages which you thought were categories. Typically, but not always, there would be a page within each category which shares the same name, so like Creatures (the page), is actually the main page of the Category:Creatures. And you can see that inside the category are the sub-categories as well as the page (below the line under the sub-categories). To see the contents of the sub-categories, you click on them and open those pages. That's how categories on wikis work. — Game widow (talk) 19:49, 2 June 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for fixing it, it's working perfectly now. Thanks for everything!

Sorry to bother you again. I just found an error I can't seem to fix. All the "Item Types" (Quest items, food, defence, clothing, special items and weapons) Are all located under the Regions section. Is there a way to move them to the Items section? Thanks.

Thanks for fixing the bugs. I also noticed the "Infoboxes" start to appear in random locations if you add more the 3. Is there a way to make them all lined up nicely on the far right or left hand side? View this page and you'll see what I'm taking about (how they appear randomly) http://adventuresoftree.gamepedia.com/Rokzin That makes the text very hard to read correctly.

To make sure they all line up on the left, put {{clear}} (by itself) on the line just before each one after the first one — Game widow (talk) 19:39, 5 June 2015 (UTC)
On second thought, maybe putting them inside a table would work better for you. See what i did on the Rokzin page — Game widow (talk) 19:43, 5 June 2015 (UTC)

Yes that looks awesome thanks! Although the Ads do tend to squish the boxed in the middle of the page. Thanks for the help.

Hey, It's been a while since I've talked to you. Hopefully you will still get this message. I was hoping you could set up another category of "Creatures" Which would be "Bosses" Thanks!

Sure, it's done. But you don't need me for that, if you want a new category, you simply create a page called Category:Whatever and then add it to whatever parent category you'd like the same way you add any other page you create — Game widow (talk) 17:01, 6 July 2015 (UTC)

Oh ok, thanks for the help.

Sorry to bother you again, under the "All Creatures" Category I'd like to have something like this. http://terraria.gamepedia.com/Enemy_list How would I set that up? Thanks, and sorry for bothering you.

You'd have to create a table and add in each line. Tell me a few creatures you want on it, and what column titles you'd like and i'll start, then you can keep going — Game widow (talk) 00:35, 7 July 2015 (UTC)

Thank you for your consistent help! I'm not exactly the best with making websites. If you could add Spidy Anglerfish and Bee. That would be a huge help, Thanks again!

here you go — Game widow (talk) 10:47, 7 July 2015 (UTC)

Thanks!

When I do Bosses the link goes here. http://adventuresoftree.gamepedia.com/Bosses

But it is supposed to go here. http://adventuresoftree.gamepedia.com/Category:Bosses

Do you know what is causing this? And why there are two pages? Sorry for my lack of knowledge (again).

I'm having another issue, all the "Item Subcategories" on this page http://adventuresoftree.gamepedia.com/Category:Items are set as "Pages" how can I change them from "Pages" to "Sub Categories" the ones that need changing are:

Sorted :) — Game widow (talk) 13:36, 23 August 2015 (UTC)

Thanks, could you also rename the "Defence" sub category to be "Creature Items" and "Quest Items" sub category to be "Generic Items". Thanks, and sorry for the change, it should be the last one for quite awhile.

If i understood your request correctly, then this is done — Game widow (talk) 12:51, 27 August 2015 (UTC)

Yes you did, thanks.

I did notice that Generic Items tag doesn't seem to be working? http://adventuresoftree.gamepedia.com/Category:Items

Also Creature Items isn't working. Sorry to bother you again.

I don't mind doing this for you, but none of these were ever "broken". The way you are using them is simply not the way they were intended. — Game widow (talk) 13:18, 30 August 2015 (UTC)

Sorry, I'm no wiki expert as you know. If I'm using something wrong just tell me how and I'll try to fix it.

It's not wrong, just non-standard — Game widow (talk) 16:44, 31 August 2015 (UTC)
